The TBH Rune planner answers a focused progression question: what does one reviewed Rune do at a chosen target level, and what is the cumulative cost of buying that node from level one through the target? Search the reviewed Rune set, select the exact key-prefixed node, and choose a level. The result shows the target effect, total cost grouped by cost item, graph depth, game version, prerequisites, and immediate unlocks.

Exact node identity matters because Task Bar Hero reuses names such as Rune of War, Rune of Growth, Rune of Wealth, Rune of Expansion, and Rune of Forging at multiple tree positions. Those records can have different stat keys, maximum levels, effects, costs, and paths. The TBH Rune planner uses the stable external key and canonical slug supplied by the catalog instead of merging nodes just because their English titles match.

Twenty-one Rune nodes have been reviewed for the current game version, spanning the three roots, chest drop chance, offline rewards, automation, storage, Cube resources, hero slots, skill slots, EXP, armor, movement, damage, attack speed, and wave reduction. More Rune pages are being verified. Planner search shows only nodes with confirmed effects, costs, levels, and tree connections.

How to use the Task Bar Hero Rune planner

Use the planner in four steps. Keep the selected node, target level, node-only cost, and surrounding path separate so the result does not imply that an entire build has been simulated.

  1. 1. Search by Rune name or effect

    Start with a name such as War, Conquest, Repose, Alchemy, Awakening, or Frenzy, or search a phrase represented in the reviewed summary such as chest, offline, Cube, armor, or attack speed. Results display the branch and exact verified effect. When the same title appears more than once, compare the summary and node key before selecting it.

  2. 2. Select the exact tree node

    Choosing a result loads its reviewed Rune details. These include the verified game version, level rows, cost rows, tree position, prerequisites, unlocks, previews, and affected heroes. If those details are unavailable or incomplete, the planner stops instead of guessing values from the Rune title.

  3. 3. Choose a target level

    The target selector contains only levels present for that Rune. Selecting level three includes the costs of levels one, two, and three and displays the effect assigned to level three. A one-level unlock Rune naturally offers only level one. The interface does not create intermediate levels or extrapolate beyond the verified maximum.

  4. 4. Read the cost and path context

    Cumulative cost covers the selected node, while prerequisites and unlocks describe where it sits in the graph. The total does not automatically buy every upstream node because the tool cannot know which Runes an account already owns. Use the prerequisite list as a checklist, open the full Rune page, and calculate another node separately when comparing branches.

What the Rune cost calculation includes

For a target level t, the planner takes every verified level row whose level is less than or equal to t and sums its cost value. Costs are grouped by their stable item external key so different currencies or materials would not be silently combined. The current verified Rune dataset uses Gold, external key 100001, so the result shows a Gold label and icon while retaining a safe identifier-based fallback for any future material.

The target effect is read from the selected level row. It is not calculated by multiplying the first value by the target level, because Rune data can encode additive steps, percentages, unlock statements, time reductions, capacity changes, or other mechanics. Preserving the verified effect string prevents a generic formula from corrupting special nodes such as Rune of Repose, Rune of Awakening, or Rune of the Mainspring.

Graph depth is contextual, not a price. A deeper node generally has more upstream relationships, but depth alone does not reveal the account's remaining spend. Likewise, an immediate prerequisite can itself require earlier purchases. The planner shows direct prerequisites and unlocks because those edges are verified; a full cheapest-path solver would require owned-node input, per-level prerequisite rules, and a clear optimization objective.

The TBH Rune planner keeps each node's game version and last-verified date with its effects, costs, and tree connections. When a game update changes a level or path, the planner and detail page can be checked together. Mixing a current cost with a path from an older screenshot would produce a result that looks precise but cannot be reproduced.

Loot farming: Exploration versus Conquest

Rune of Exploration provides a common chest drop chance multiplier, while Rune of Conquest provides a stage boss chest drop chance multiplier. They answer different farming questions even though both affect loot. Select the node that corresponds to the chest source you are actually targeting, choose a reachable level, and compare the node-only cost with the expected value of that farming route.

The planner does not convert either Rune effect into an item drop probability. Chest appearance and item containment are separate parts of the data model. Use the Drop Finder to identify an item's source and the Drop Chance Calculator for a reviewed Gear probability; use this planner only for the Rune's verified upgrade effect and cost.

Offline progress: Repose before Hoarding or Training

Rune of Repose unlocks offline rewards. Rune of Hoarding improves offline gold, while Rune of Training improves offline EXP. A player evaluating the latter effects should first inspect whether the Repose prerequisite is already owned and whether the account values gold or experience during inactive time.

Calculate each selected node at the intended level, then record the upstream purchases that remain. Adding only Hoarding or Training costs without the unlock path can understate a new account's spend; adding every prerequisite again can overstate an established account's spend. The tool keeps those two layers visible so the player can apply actual ownership.

Account utility: Storage, Mainspring, Command, and Awakening

Rune of Storage adds a stash page, Rune of the Mainspring unlocks automatic chest opening, Rune of Command adds a hero slot, and Rune of Awakening adds a skill slot for all heroes. These effects are difficult to rank with combat arithmetic because their value depends on inventory pressure, session length, roster use, and skill access.

Use the TBH Rune planner to expose the exact target and path, then choose the utility node that removes a real bottleneck. A smaller numerical effect can be the more useful purchase if it eliminates repeated manual actions or opens a new team configuration. Universal combat: Shield, Gale, War, and Frenzy

The reviewed combat examples cover all-hero armor, movement speed, attack damage, and attack speed effects. Each can matter, but their outcomes depend on hero stats, skill timing, stage mechanics, survival, and whether the value is flat or percentage based. A node with a larger-looking number is not automatically stronger when it modifies a different quantity.

Plan the affordable target level, inspect its prerequisite, and test the result against the account's actual constraint. If heroes survive but clear slowly, offense may deserve attention; if they fail before dealing damage, armor can matter more. The planner deliberately avoids a fabricated DPS or effective-health conversion when those inputs are not available in the verified Rune data.

Turn a Rune total into a progression decision

Write down the current bottleneck first: loot source, gold, EXP, offline progress, chest handling, storage, roster capacity, skill capacity, survival, or clear speed. Search the relevant reviewed Rune, choose a realistic target level, and note both the cumulative node cost and direct prerequisite. Repeat for the competing option. This produces a small, auditable comparison instead of a sprawling plan built from remembered names.

Treat the planner output as source-backed arithmetic, not an instruction to spend. It does not know the account's owned Runes, currency balance, hero build, target stage, session length, or opportunity cost. When sharing a plan, include the key-prefixed Rune URL, target level, game version, cumulative node cost, and whether prerequisites are already owned. That information lets another player reproduce the result. A screenshot containing only a repeated title such as Rune of War can refer to the wrong node and should not be treated as an exact data citation.

How many Runes are in Task Bar Hero?

The current verified dataset contains 197 Rune nodes. Twenty-one nodes have complete reviewed pages for the current game version, and more Rune pages are being verified. Unavailable nodes may be shown by name and number without a link until their effects, costs, and tree connections are confirmed.

Does the planner include prerequisite costs?

It totals every level through the target for the selected node. It shows direct prerequisites but does not add their costs automatically, because it does not know which prerequisite levels the account already owns.

Why are there several Runes with the same name?

The game data can reuse a translated name at different tree positions. Stable external keys and key-prefixed slugs keep those nodes separate, along with their individual effects, levels, costs, and graph edges.

What is the best Rune in Task Bar Hero?

There is no source-backed universal answer. Loot, offline progress, utility, survival, and damage goals favor different effects. Use the Best Runes guide to choose a goal, then use this planner for the exact node and cost.

Is the Rune planner updated for the current game version?

Not yet. A reliable full-tree optimizer needs owned-node state, prerequisite-level rules, a budget, and an objective. The current tool intentionally solves the smaller verified problem of one node's target effect and cumulative cost.
